I purchased this headset with microphone because of the inexpensive price and the relatively good reviews. I'm using it for Dragon dictate. It seems to work wonderfully. By that I mean the microphone picks up my voice and translates it accurately to typed text. As far as the earpieces are concerned and the audio quality, I did listen to some of my music on the computer and it seemed decent. The headset is relatively comfortable to wear. I think I could probably wear this for quite some time. For the price, this unit is built fairly sturdy. However, being a Mac user, I had some problems getting this headset to work in the first place. First of all, you have to go to the company website and download the driver for this headset. That's not a big problem as it seems to download well and work well once installed. However you're still have to open up System Preferences and choose "speaker" to enable the headset to output properly. You also have to choose "speech" in order to enable the microphone to work properly. These settings are saved so that when you plug your headset back in they will come online and your headset will operate properly. I haven't used it for video conferencing yet, but I suspect it will work very well. I will do an update if reality is different for my expectation.Bottom line: this is a relatively well-built unit for the price, and so far, it works very well.
