Wasted 2 days trying to get it to work. Used a high-quality splitter to plug into separate mic and headphone jacks on my PC. The headphones worked ok but I was never able to get the mic to work. Finally discovered that anytime the headphones were plugged in, the mic wouldn't work. Unplug the headphones and the mic worked. However, the mute button wouldn't work under any circumstances. Checked to make sure the problem wasn't my computer--an old headset with boom mic worked fine using the same splitter. Maybe I got a bad one. Sending it back--not trying another one.
