I'm a longtime user of Chris King headsets. They have served me well and almost never wear out. But alas they do. So after one served me for almost 15 years it was time to buy another. While I should have rewarded Chris King for a great product by buying another I just couldn't stomach buying another at $175 (come on, I have them on four other bikes so I've paid enough). So I tried this as I have other Ritchey WCS products that I've been happy with. Well after a year of heavy use this is still working great. Will it make it for 15 years? Who knows. But for now, I'm glad I tried it.I have had problems with headsets on my road bike for years. I have a Bianchi Vigorelli. Mine is the last year they did the old standard head tube sizes. The original headset was the Origin 8, 1". It needed to be replaced after a few years and I was on the third Origin 8 headset. Finally switched to this one after I had to get a new fork when mine was stolen. Initially I reinstalled an Origin 8 headset but it fit even worse than with the original fork. I switched to the Ritchey headset even though it was more expensive and because the fork is also a carbon fiber Ritchey fork. Fits perfect and for once I think I won't have to replace the headset and it will have a normal lifespan.I have 2 of these. They last a life time. Sealed bearings so they stay clean. I do everything I can to destroy these and they never fall below perfection.C'est vraiment une très bonne qualité de construction, les roulement sont sertis . En un pouce ces jeux de direction non vissant sont difficile à trouver . Parfait mon vélo est reparti pour 10 ansProduit propre, toutes les pièces, notice correcte (pourrait être un poil plus explicite, mais avec le nombre de tutoriels sur internet, ce n'est pas très grave non plus).
