Since the time of purchase, I’ve used the headset for roughly 100+ hours playing various Xbox One games and countless hours on my iPhone 5 for listening to music and to make phone calls. Additional Features5. DesignIDEAL USER:If you're the average XB1 gamer, Afterglow is perfect for you. I play on average 10-20 hours of video games per week, and when playing XB1 I almost always use this headset. If you are looking for a headset that delivers premium levels of rich sound, look no further. You will quickly find Afterglow to be invaluable to your gaming sessions as every movement and footstep, every background noise is amplified and easily audible.1. QUALITY OF SOUND: (5/5)• Rich sound- Afterglow is easily one of the best headphones/headsets I’ve ever owned. It does a great job of boosting bass sounds without drowning out high, soft notes. It will make you really appreciate the musical composers of your favorite video games!• Noise canceling- when you are wearing this headset, background noise from your surroundings won’t throw off your game!2. QUALITY OF CHAT: (4/5)• Clear communication- I’ve used Afterglow on the phone, and on Xbox Live chat. I’ve never had any issues with poor quality like a few of the other reviews. The microphone can be retracted to unobtrusive gaming when not chatting.• Microphone feedback system- Afterglow has a unique design that enables you to hear your own voice, and exactly what you are broadcasting.• Local limitations- In local Co-Op, the headphones will not transmit chat audio to the other players with you in the room.3. COMFORT: (5/5)• Comfortable fit- Afterglow is one of the most comfortable headsets I’ve used, and is perfect for long gaming sessions! You’ll barely notice you’re wearing them!4. ADDITIONAL FEATURES: (5/5)• Wired connection- Afterglow has a wired connection to your controller, and can be easily switched to an auxiliary cord for use with literally any device with a 3.5mm jack!• Personalized settings- Afterglow has two different volume controls, game volume and chat volume. These are well marked and easily accessible from your “control panel” It’s also extremely easy to mute or unmute chat with the mute button.5. DESIGN: (5/5)• General appearance- Afterglow looks like it belongs with your XB1. It truly complements the design, and functionality!OVERALL RATING: 19/20Based of my experiences, I feel you will be satisfied with Afterglow’s performance for the price of $100. Please feel free to contact me with any questions and I will do my best to answer them!Before I finish, here is some general advice to use with your Afterglow headset.GENERAL ADVICE:• Battery management- Afterglow will pull a good deal of battery power from your controller. Generally I would say you could game for 4-5 “average” days before you will want to recharge or replace the batteries in your controller• Turn off the lights!- Afterglow features a switch on the side which controls the lights on the side. Turning these off will improve battery consumption immensely.• Respectful gaming- Afterglow does a really good job of immersing you into your game. I recommend muting the TV so that game volume is controlled. However, your volume is not controlled, be careful of how loud you are as the noise canceling technology makes it very difficult to tell how loud you are. Friends, family, and roommates will all thank you!• Static noise- When first using the headphones, you may encounter some sporadic static noises. This goes away with use and is not a defect or problem!
